Breathwork / Meditation Workshop
Join Sophie for an afternoon of precise instruction on breath that one uses on a moment to moment daily basis. Become aware of any constriction in your breathing pattern that could lead to dis-ease in the body and mind. Lessen anxiety and learn how to manage your response to stress. Based on Sophie's continued study with Dr. Pankaj Seth, ND and many years of meditation practice including Vipassana meditation.
Ayurvedic Cooking Workshop
Ayurveda is a 5000 yrs old system of medicine from India. Learning the basics of cooking from an Ayurvedic perspective can enhance health and well-being. Spend an afternoon learning to apply Ayurvedic principles to any recipe and how to cook specifically for your body constitution and condition. Learn to use garnishes to adjust recipes for people with different constitutions that you may be cooking for. Take home some delicious and easy recipes to suit the season.
Thai Massage Weekend Workshop
Learn to give a half hour Thai Massage to family and friends. The focus is on correct body mechanics for the practitioner and the concept of creating "flow" in the practitioners movements and in the body of the recipient. Instruction manual with photos is included for take home practice. Participants must be in fairly good physical condition. Note: This is an introduction to Thai Massage and is not a certification course.
Partner Thai Yoga Massage Workshop
This one day workshop is a blend of what is commonly called Partner Yoga and Thai Massage techniques. When combined with proper breathing, these poses can assist in relieving stress and tension, as well as increasing a subtle awareness of yourself and your partner. Accessible for most levels of fitness. Bring a friend or meet one at the workshop.
